"You can see what man has made from the back of an automobile. But the best way to see what God has made is from the back of a horse." — Charles M. Russell

Parade Rides

Everyone loves a Parade!  One of the highlights for parade watchers, especially the little children, is to anxiously await the horses prancing by!

We love doing the parades, and although they don't really last all that long, it is so worth it to see the smiles on the faces of the crowd.

One of the extra benefits of being a great trail horse, is that it also makes for a great parade horse.  Things like excited squealing children, candy flying through the air, children darting out to grab candy, man holes in the streets, noisy fire trucks, marching bands .....  just aren't that big of a deal when you are use to a covey of quail flying up from under your legs, or dogs running out from nowhere, or a biker popping up over a hill, or deer suddenly jumping up from a ravine, or turkey scurrying and flapping through the woods.  It is just all in a days work for the experienced trail horse.

The parades that we attend are in California, Missouri and last about a half an hour long.    Line up is usually about 30 minutes before the start of the parade.  You are also invited to participate in parade preparations, such as brushing, combing manes and tails, etc.

If it rains on your parade -- or snows or too hot or too cold, and the parade is cancelled and not rescheduled, then you may exchange your parade ride for a one hour ride at Broken Gait Trail Rides.

Spaces are limited!  Please reserve early!
