What to Bring

Riding Attire

bulletClothes appropriate for the Season.
bulletLong Pants STRONGLY recommended.
bulletA Shirt that you won't mind getting a little horse slobber on, or one that perhaps might get snagged on a tree limb or thorn.
bulletBoots with up to a 1" heel are recommended, such as a hiking boot or cowboy boot.  NO open toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops are allowed.
bulletRain Jackets are always a good idea... just in case.
bulletSEI-certified equestrian helmets recommended for everyone but mandatory for riders under the age of 18.
bulletA Helmet will be provided or you may bring your own
bulletIf you are an adult and do not wish to wear a helmet, a hat or visor of some sort is advised.  If you wear a cowboy hat, a stampede sting is recommended as a small gust of wind could send it flying.
bulletLeather gloves can also come in handy.

Your Own Lunch & Your Own Snacks & Drinks

bulletBring Your Own Lunch if you selected the Complete Trail Riding Adventure Package.  We will take a lunch break on the trail.
bulletSince everyone has different tastes or dietary needs, it is just best if everyone brings their own lunch, something that you know you like.
bulletInsulated saddle bag will be provided to stow your lunch and snacks.
bulletBring any Snacks you might want.
bulletBring water bottle or other drinks.
bulletA Water bottle holder to attach to your saddle for your drinks is also provided.  This is also true for the one hour Saddle Sore Saver Ride.
bulletBring a cold pack for your lunch.
bulletTip - Freeze your water bottle. (Remember to allow room at the top for expansion)  This can act as ice for your lunch and other drinks, and you can drink it as it melts.  In the summertime, try freezing your tea and lemonade also.  A partially frozen water bottle, then filled to the top just before you leave home, works great on a trail ride for something more immediate to drink.
bulletBring a plastic bag for your trash.

Camera

bulletYou may bring a camera if you like.  We will also try to take as many pictures as possible, and upload them to your own personal Kodak Gallery so that you may share them with your friends & family.
bulletBroken Gait Trail Rides is not responsible for lost or damaged items brought with you.

Sunscreen

Lip Balm

Bug Spray

Broken Gait Trail Rides is not responsible for loss or injury.  All riders must sign your waiver and release form prior to your scheduled ride.
